Breast Ultrasound

Breast Ultrasound

Breast ultrasound is a safe, radiation-free way to examine breast tissue, ducts, and lymph nodes. It is especially helpful for younger women, where breast tissue is denser and mammograms are less effective.

What Breast Ultrasound Detects

  • Cause of breast pain or tenderness
  • Suspicious changes needing biopsy
  • Enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit

Who Should Get a Breast Scan?

  • Breast pain, swelling, or nipple discharge
  • Family history of breast cancer
  • New lump or change in breast tissue
  • As part of annual women’s health check

What to Expect

The scan takes about 15–20 minutes. It is painless, safe, and results are explained the same day.
